Everyone knew the time arrived to get back to the woods.
Except for Red Riding Rabbit, who'd decided to take a detour.
Let's go Red! all her friends called........
The nights were coming on sooner
Fox was very savvy and carried two lanterns.
Red dropped off the cake to Grandma and hurried on. This gingerbread deliciousness was made by Kary.
They would come back and see the farmlady at halloween though;
Everyone would think they were in costumes!Only you and I know their secret.
Have fun in the woods, but be careful of the wolf.

Oh my goodness, would it be very boring to say how much I love all these pieces - I seem to say nothing else! But it's true - the little red riding hood dish is a perfection of sweetness!
Are those beautiful woods near where you live Julie? That's one thing we have very little of here in Cornwall - magnificent woodlands. I do so love ancient trees. Your illustrations of all the little woodland creatures are enchanting. Do you narrate stories to your grandchildren round the fire - I can just imagine you doing so! x x x

I think that each of your pieces is an "offspring" for you, which means you have multitudes of children and grands! And, the stories you tell are for all of us and the children within.

Oh..and I remember that we share a birthday! I hope yours was wonderful. When I got out my fall decorations this past week I found the little sawdust filled pumpkin embroidered pillow you made back in the Finnie McClure days..it always makes me smile. I think I may leave it out all year this year. Wouldn't be the first time.

Oh Poor poor Wolf! He has been sadly misjudged! His Gran used to make delicious spicey Gingerbread each Fall- for his Birthday! Can he help it if the smell brings tears to his eyes and a bit of drool to the corners of his mouth? And Little Red's Granny has collected many of your Fabulous pieces of pottery, which Mr. Wolf also adores (he has such good taste!)Please be a bit more lenient and understanding...not all Wolves are bad!

Well, Julie, you continue to amaze and enchant me with your creations and sweet little stories. Each new pottery piece replaces the other as my favorite. As I rug hook, I use one of your ( well, mine now) sweet little dishes for my wool snippets!
