This is the town where I live. Each March the wild plum trees put on their white dresses.
Pink ones too.
I stay inside for a bit, arrange boquets;
Make this new Paris Tea., boy is it good.
But I think I hear seagulls,
and the fog has blown away and the cows are out again.
I've been working in the mornings. This is a light house, its glows at night with a tealight inside
Made a new shape platter,
Then its out the door again!xxx

Momma....your kitchen needs to be in a magazine...its fabulous, with all your treasures, Heidi
Flowering trees while we are still buried in snow! I wonder how you are liking - loving? - your new kitchen? The platter and fox are beautiful, and I'm curious now about "Paris" tea.... and now have a hankering for a cup.
When I visit you, Julie, it's like a dear friend takes my hand and we go for a little stroll through heaven. Big hugs! xx
Love these glimpses into your world.
Oh that wonderful kitchen! The plum blossoms are beautiful - some love them even more than cherry blossoms.

The platter is so beautiful! And your new kitchen looks incredibly inviting, even more so with the wonderful bouquet on the table.
Too early here for most trees to blossom, but there is the occasional sprinkle of colour creeping into people's gardens again, and by the end of this month, the world will look very different :-)
Oh Julie, how lovely. I so enjoyed seeing where you live and the places that inspire you. It looks so inviting. I need you to parcel up some of your 'kind' weather and mail it as we desperately need it in the Lake District at the moment.
Long may your inspiration continue. Eli x

I thought I recognized Morro Rock...lovely photos, and your pottery is gorgeous. I do miss the coast! And I adore wandering around Cambria and the antique stores...but I live in the central valley so I only make it over there maybe twice a year. Thank you for the sweet tour!

First of all I love your kitchen. It is so inviting and cheerful. As a bit of a toaster geek who is always on a search for the best toaster, could you tell me what kind you have?
And your surroundings are so beautiful. Let's see, my plums blossom in May. :<) Don't they have the best smell!
Dear Nan, Its funny about that toaster, its just a little 9.00 one from the hardware store.
But I researched toasters indepth and bought a Braville, (Amazon),
which was about 90/dollars. But its Huge! I can't decide whether to keep it or return it. But it did get great reviews. If I decide to use it, I'll let you know how it preforms. Supposed to be great for bagels.

yes, the plum blossoms smell heavenly
Julie- such gorgeous photos of your kitchen AND your creations!! You bring spring to life so vividly in your beautiful pottery. The new platter is just outstanding-- all I can say is Wow!! You are just so amazing in all that you do--

Hi Julie, I continue to be captivated by your paintings. Love "Rabbit Home" and "English Lakes". Best...
Gloria
wonderful to see your corner of the world, the blossoms, your gorgeous work, and the tins of tea!
That first picture shows a nice close community. We have wild plum in our local park and it was so late to flower this year.
