Suddenly everthing is beginning to put on its prettiest May dress

Through the dining room window I can see sweet peas and roses, and smell them too.

Mine are on a tomato cage~Not as lush and awe inspiring as these!

I once painted sweet peas all over a teacup. I knew when I finished it I wouldn't be doing one again, so I hung it on a hook in my sideboard and use it for Spring Tea parties.

A new windmill. Lithograph tin. I adore this because its made to be a little house.
My dream, to live in a windmill.

On the water,(since I'm building castles in the sky).

Bluebirds in the garden and a sweet pea patch out back.

Up the stairs to our front door. Someone who is very tall and has a bristley moustache has to duck a little to get home, but he doesn't complain.

More pots for my shop

Now I must rush, there are bouquets to cut and sweet peas to water!

ReplyDeleteI can relate when you said you painted your sweet pea cup and knew you would never do it again. It's a sort of purge, necessary and the first time around, a joy, an accomplishment but twice an impossibility.
ReplyDeleteYour garden and sweet peas, planters, pottery, tiny windmill and home are a delight.
Oh yes living in a windmill would be fun!

Nature is a bit behind here in the Netherlands, because of the cold. My sweet peas are only 3 cm tall!! But on the other hand, enough windmills to enjoy! Enjoy your garden, it's soo soothing.

Julie- I agree that May is the most beautiful month for flowers. You've painted them perfectly on your pots and on that dainty little cup. I love sweet peas too- seedlings from plants that once belonged to my great grandmother have now completely taken over my flowered. They are incredible!

ReplyDeleteI always wanted to live in a lighthouse...but, it would have to be a portion of it that was 'specially built to be warm and cosy...cuz I'm sure they are draughty and cold and damp...being always right there on the edge of an ocean cliff....ahhahha... ... but, for the peace, quiet and the ocean waves...
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely May.
ReplyDeleteThis is from Kay!
Hello, just stop by.
